Sandy Lutz designed this Gingko card.  Simply dry embossed using A28  gingko stencil  on gold tone cardstock.

Full glitter technique with A45 crane stencil.  Go to Learn! page to read instructions on this technique. This is mounted on the Washi Chiyogami pack 2112.

Full Glitter technique with A13 Mum with Handles Stencil and Blue Hawaii Ultrafine Opaque glitter.  Mounted on Yuzen Origami 450.

Full Glitter technique with A4 Miso Soup Stencil and Purple Ultrafine Opaque glitter. Mounted on Yuzen Chiyogami 83

Full Glitter technique with A35 Tangled Chrysanthemum stencil and Cornflower Ultrafine Opaque glitter.

Full Glitter technique with A24 Rope Flower stencil and Hot Lava & Michigan Moss Ultrafine Opaque glitter.  Mounted on Yuzen Chiyogami 83.  I messed up on the Hot Lava rope flower by peeling the stencil away from the mounting adhesive, rather than laying down the stencil and peeling away the paper.  So I covered it up with another one.

The Sushi Board! Dry embossed on Aspire Petallics cover stock and colored in marker.  Simple and so fun!  I used A3 Ikura , A1 Ebi, A2 Tamago & A6 Sushi stencils. Mounted on wood print paper, inked with brown stamp pad and the Tanzaku Shikishi board.

Close-up of Sushi.  Makes me hungry.

Close-up of Tamago. I used 2 shades of yellow marker.  Yum!

Close-up of Ikura. Black marker with tiny strokes for nori.  Orange and red marker for eggs with 3D Crystal Lacquer on top for extra shine and dimension. Oishi!

Close-up of Ebi. Simply dry emboss and use pink marker.  That's it.  For really speedy work, run it through a die cut machine with a rubber gasket.

Crackle Paste Embossing through A25 Nine loop knot. Also outlined with black marker.  Mounted on Yuzen Origami 450.

Traditional stipple stenciling with Lumiere Indigo paint using A54 Anchor stencil.  Outside words from a poem website about anchors.  Outside border is 1/4" strips of paper laid one by one in counter-clockwise order.

2 techniques on this card.  Dry emboss A55 Feathers stencil on silver cardstock.  Then stipple stencil with a brush and a silver stamp pad on the white textured cardstock.  The middle strip is alcohol inked onto glossy photo paper.

2 techniques again.  Dry emboss A29 3 Plum Blossoms stencil on white core, pink cardstock.  Sand the top pink layer of paper away.  Next, spray ink onto Rayon paper.

I painted 3 colors of Lumiere acrylic paints onto lightweight white cardstock-citrine, pearl magenta & pearl blue. Then, dry emboss (I like the Wizard for the best press) through A9 Hanabishi Star stencil and sand away the layers of paint where you want to see the other colors.

Lisa Blank designed this card with the A19 Kokeshi Doll stencil.  The applique stenciling technique is done by dry embossing, cutting and then layering.  The paper is Japanese Toys.  Red and blue markers define some of the debossed lines you can't see in the pattern.  She chalked in the cheeks and used a Micron .08 pen for the eyes.  The red die cuts are from Spellbinder.  She used a gold DecoColor extra fine pen for the edges and a cork back ruler so the ink doesn't run under the ruler.

Lisa Blank at work again with Mr. Daruma stencil A17. She traced and cut black and red cardstock, and stipple stenciled black acrylic paint onto a wood board. When you give a Daruma-san, it has no eyes. The recipient colors in an eye with a wish, when the wish comes true, the other eye is colored in.

2 stenciled embellishments on shikishi board.  Letters were cut with the Klik-n-Kut Groove-e.  Lisa suggested I always start gluing the letters from the center, even if I've already lined them up.  Then they won't get scrunched at the end.  Good lesson!

Close-up of heat embossed A51 Samurai helmet.  First dry emboss. I used a heavy cover stock made with vellum for more flexibility.  With the stencil still on the paper, tap an embossing pad over it.  Remove the stencil and pour on fine gold embossing powder.  Add heat and voila.  Super detail!

Close-up of heat embossed A50 Swords.  This time I used thick silver embossing powder and still got great detail on the handle shield part. I just love it!

Tracing and coloring in with marker can get messy, but I put strips of cardstock under the edges of the A53 Taiko Drum stencil and it kept the ink from running under the stencil. I used a combination of Decomarkers and Micron pens.  I just printed the words from the computer.

With A56 Wheat Crest stencil, I overlayed dry embossed cloud vellum onto a brown ink stippled gold cardstock.  The corners have more stippling.  I used a 1/4" stipple brush and a Cat's Eye pigment pad.

This is a close-up of paste embossing through A8 Pompom Chrysanthemum using Super Heavy Bodied Liquitex Artist Acrylic.  I loaded Yellow Medium Azo and Acra Crimson onto the palette knife and then ran it over the stencil.  For more details on pasting technique, go to the Learn! page.

Dry embossed A33 Plum Blossom onto peach, white-cored cardstock, sanded, and then chalked with yello in the center.  Kandi hotfix Swarovski rhinestones add sparkle! Die cuts with Spellbinder.

Stipple stenciled right onto the black paper with two shades of pink acrylic paint using A7 Pouch stencil.  After that dries, dapple on touches of Hi-Lite Red Lumiere. Next, paste emboss with Dreamweaver translucent paste.  When dry, edge with silver extra-fine Decomarker.  The corners are a Tonic Studio punch.

I used a cotton swab and alcohol inks on clear craft plastic with A21 Wild Orange Blossom stencil.  Under it is a Kodomo Kimono paper and the Craft Chiyogami papers.

Paste embossed with Dreamweaver's white embossing paste through A12 Wisteria Square stencil onto white cardstock.  Yasutomo Irridiscent watercolors painted on top.  Alvin multi-shaper punch Tiara on white paper.

Left & Right: Paste embossed using Super Heavy Body Liquitex Yellow through A10 Bell Pepper Flower stencil onto navy cardstock.  Before removing stencil, paint the center with Lumiere Hi-Lite Blue.  Paint shouldn't go under because the paste is at stencil level.  Remove stencil and let it dry.  The high-polished stainless steel stencils makes clean up easy.  Rub a mylar foil sheet onto the paste.  I used Jones Tones Pearl Swirl.  Next, I brushed on Russet Pearl Ex powder. The punch is the Alvin multi-shape Jemma.

First dry emboss A42 Diamond Kiku Bishi stencil.  Next, use a pigment rainbow stamp pad and tap until fully covered.  Remove stencil and pour on Ultra Thick Embossing Powder.  Tap off and melt with heat gun.  The punch on white is the Alvin multi-shape Marta.
